Our Story
Alfresco de Juan is a unique guesthouse nestled near the breathtaking Loakan Proper, Baguio City, just a stone's throw away from the Philippines' highest airport. Our story began with a dream – Jc, an experienced engineer and international project manager, and Lei, an IELTS-speaking mentor and seasoned teacher trainer, envisioned a place where guests could connect with nature and experience the warmth of Baguio.
Alfresco de Juan is a testament to family love and ingenuity. Designed by the couple and meticulously constructed by their father, a licensed professional teacher, pastor, and contractor, the guesthouse is a remarkable feat of engineering and perseverance.
Our journey wasn't without its challenges. The land we chose was dominated by a massive boulder, which most would consider unbuildable. However, our father's expertise and dedication transformed what was once just a big boulder into a beautiful and functional space. The unique challenge of building on this tricky terrain was met with skill and creativity, resulting in a guesthouse that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings.
Our Events Venue
In January 2023, we opened our events venue, designed for intimate gatherings of 30-60 people. It's one of the most affordable venues in Baguio, perfect for hosting special occasions in a picturesque setting.
Our Accommodations
- Casa Madera: Completed in March 2023, this charming wooden room on the first floor is perfect for couples seeking a cozy and intimate getaway.
- Casa Piedra: Finished in April 2023, this spacious stone room can accommodate up to 10 guests, making it ideal for family gatherings. Built next to the massive boulder that inspired our journey, it offers a unique and rustic charm.
